Trying to achieve work-life balance is why you don't have balance.

We live in a society that values work being at the forefront of your life, but that level of hyper-focus keeps the rest of our lives out of balance. It’s why when we feel unfulfilled, we go searching for a new job (as if your job should be your key source of fulfillment). In this training we’ll center other areas of fulfillment to design a meaningful, mission-centric life.

There are 3 areas we'll explore:

PART 1 – The Current Situation

1. How life imbalance happens (& how work-life balance hurts you)

The first part of this training illustrates how, even with the best intentions, our efforts to achieve work-life balance can create greater imbalance in our lives. We'll start by clearing up what it takes to have balance vs what we're taught to do (and actually gets in the way).

PART 2 – BLUEPRINT PHASE

2. Life Design: Mapping Your Life Vision (Blueprint Phase)

Next we'll map out the blueprint of your life. Think of this as the foundational work, where you’ll clarify your life’s missions, set your goals, and clarify your focus.

During this phase, you’ll explore your core values, identify key life areas, and define your personal missions across the 8 Pillars of wellness. This phase is essential because it creates a clear, customized vision for your life and sets the foundation for everything that follows.

Key activities in this phase include:
  • Defining your mission in each of the 8 Pillars (Financial, Physical, Emotional, Mental, Social, Environmental, Occupational, Spiritual)
  • Identifying your Life Areas (the main aspects of your life that require focus and energy)
  • Breaking down those Life Areas into Divisions (smaller segments or categories for better focus)
  • Setting your desired improvements for each Life Area, ensuring you have a roadmap for personal growth.
This phase is all about getting clear on what you want and why you want it — you’ll be doing the deep work to design the life you envision.

PART 3 – ACTION PHASE

3. Vision Execution: Managing Your Life Projects (Action Phase)

Once your life’s blueprint is mapped out, the next part of the system helps you turn that vision into action.

This is the execution phase, where you take the goals you’ve set and break them down into manageable projects. Think of it as project management for your life—the tasks, timelines, and resources you need to make your dreams a reality.

In this phase, you’ll:
  • Choose projects that align with your goals and desired improvements
  • Create actionable project plans with clear milestones and deliverables
  • (Optional and free) Use the PLAD™ Operating System (OS) to organize and track your projects, manage tasks, and monitor progress toward your goals.
This phase is where you stay on track, keep focused, and execute your life plan efficiently. You’ll leverage tools and templates to stay organized, identify bottlenecks, and ensure you’re always moving forward — taking small, consistent steps toward the life you’ve designed.

What should you expect?

By the end of this training you should have clarity around the life missions you want to bring to fruition, have the blueprint to design your life, and have taken the first steps to executing your vision. Overall you should experience:

  1. Perspective Shift: A new outlook on how to achieve balance and awareness of the traps you’ll avoid permanently.
  2. Clarity and Focus: The first phase ensures you know exactly what you want to achieve and why it matters to you.
  3. Efficient Action: The second phase gives you the structure to make steady progress, ensuring that you can execute your goals without feeling overwhelmed.

Following this method ensures that you not only create the life you want, but also have a structured, manageable approach to make it happen.

We are told who we should be, how we should live, and what we should aspire to — before we know if those things are right for us.

Think about it: just months after having to raise our hands for permission to use the bathroom, we’re expected to know what we want to do with the rest of our lives.

We pick a career path and pursue it with excellence. We climb the ladders and judge ourselves by what someone else calls “successful,” building a respectable career and financial foundation.

As someone who has broken barriers and achieved more than most folks, you expect to feel like you’ve made it by now. But you’ve been so busy becoming successful that you haven’t had a chance to fully become yourself.

Playing by the rules and accepting the way things were “supposed to be” never really suited me. Sure, I worked hard to get into my top-choice university, kill it in grad school, and get that cushy career-launching job in spite of all the odds that worked against me. I did them all.

After following “the path” long enough to realize I didn’t like the destination ahead, I made some new decisions.

I decided to commit my life to always being the version of me I was most excited about and inspired by, to build a life I never needed a vacation from, and to always prioritize my peace. And I did all of those, too.

Now I help people stop chasing “work-life” balance and instead achieve actual life balance. This way, they make room for what really matters to them and pursue goals they’ve always sat on. You know, the goals you think are “too much,” too “big,”  or too unrealistic to take on. It’s in those things we truly find meaning and life fulfillment.

I’d love to help you create balance in your life and help you reach your biggest, personal goals. I can’t wait for you to be thrilled to start your day in the morning, forget what the Sunday Scaries feel like, and be the true main character of this life you’ve worked so hard for.
